About Kids Ball Hockey

This kids ball hockey league is for children ages 5-12 years of age. We play at McKay Park, in Wyoming on Monday nights, 6PM. If there is any interest in a league for children over the age of 12, please let me know, and we can work on a league for older children as well. This year  (2017)we will begin on Monday April 24th, and the last night will be Monday June 26th.

This league is non contact, and volunteer driven. Parents are often called on to be coaches, but if you know of anyone who would like to get some volunteer hours, please let me know, we could always use coaches or referees.

All kids will need a helmet, shin pads, elbow pads, gloves and a stick to play.

Fee is $40  for 10 weeks of games, and games typically last for one hour, broken into 2- 30 minute halves, with a 5 minute break in between. Frequent water breaks are taken in warmer weather. It is suggested that you bring water for your child, they do work up a sweat running! In the case of heavy rain or lightening, all games will be cancelled. Since we play on concrete surfaces, we try not to play in really wet conditions, to avoid injury. Cancellations will be posted on this website, so check often! The decision will be made and posted at approximately 4PM on Monday.

Hopefully, weather permitting, we’ll have a BBQ around week 7 or 8, which is used as a fundraiser for the league.

New for  this year, is the splash pad that has been built in McKay Park. That will come in handy on those really hot nights!
